One Chart, Five Disagreeing Scripts

Most traders assembling an ICT/SMC chart end up running several separate scripts — one for structure, one for order blocks, one for liquidity, one for Fair Value Gaps — each built by a different author, on a different pivot definition, with a different invalidation rule. A "broken" structure in one script can still look intact in another. Layer enough of these together and the chart stops being an analytical tool and becomes a puzzle of contradicting overlays, with no shared logic for what counts as fresh, mitigated, or invalidated.

A zone doesn't exist in isolation here. The indicator keeps track of what created it, what happened to it afterwards, and which surrounding evidence supports it — instead of leaving you to reconstruct that history from a single colored box. The product doesn't generate trade plans and doesn't promise performance: the OTE grid stays a visual retracement framework, Unicorn and Silver Bullet stay confirmed analytical events, and every quality score ranks analytical evidence — not a win probability.

Every zone carries its history, not just its shape. A Breaker keeps the origin, side and boundaries of the order block it came from.

One Engine, Six Connected Pillars

Rather than a wall of acronyms, SSM IQ ICT organizes ICT/SMC analysis into a handful of connected pillars — all reading from the same underlying market state. A defined set of session and time references (Asia/London highs-lows, previous-period levels, True Opens, opening gaps) rounds out the picture as supporting context for every pillar below.

Market Structure

Confirmed BOS/CHoCH/MSS breaks, HH/HL/LH/LL/EQH/EQL swing classification, CISD and IDM. Benefit: you see not just that structure broke, but how strong the break actually was, from one consistent rule everywhere on the chart.

Liquidity

Buy-side and sell-side pools tracked independently through Raid → Break → Retest. Benefit: instead of a single "swept" flag, you see where a level actually sits in its own lifecycle.

Imbalances & Price Delivery

FVG, IFVG, BPR, Volume Imbalance and Breakaway Gap, each carried through its own fill lifecycle with an optional CE midpoint line. Benefit: tell at a glance whether a gap is still fresh, partially filled, or effectively done.

Order Blocks & PD Arrays

Scored Swing and Internal order blocks, with Breaker transformation that preserves origin. Benefit: a way to prioritize which order blocks are worth your attention instead of treating every one as equal.

Premium/Discount Context

A range built from the last confirmed structural high and low, split at equilibrium, that the OTE retracement grid and order blocks are read against. Benefit: instant context for whether current price sits in a "buy the dip" or "sell the rally" zone.

Advanced Confluence

Optional SMT intermarket divergence, and the named Unicorn and Silver Bullet confluence models, surfaced as confirmed chart markers, off by default. Benefit: recognizable, well-documented ICT patterns flagged automatically once their specific evidence lines up.

Every Module Reads the Same Chart

Every module in SSM IQ ICT reads from the same underlying structure, liquidity and imbalance state, so results build on each other consistently. When you see a Breaker, a Unicorn marker or an OTE grid on the chart, it's always built on the same confirmed pivots already shown elsewhere on that same chart — not recalculated from a different, disconnected assumption set.

Gold combines high liquidity with strong reactivity around the London and New York session opens, where the default Asia/London killzone windows map directly onto how XAUUSD intraday liquidity tends to concentrate.

None of this is a claim that gold "always" reacts this way at Asia/London levels; session windows are a documented product convention, not a historical-performance claim.

Auto-Timeframe resolves detector calibration — pivot sensitivity, thresholds, freshness windows and the order block quality bar — automatically, matched to whatever chart interval you're on, from tick charts through monthly views. It's on by default in Full and always active in Lite. Manual Mode (Full only, enabled by switching Auto-Timeframe off) opens that same calibration for hands-on, instrument-specific tuning. Visual settings and module toggles stay user-controlled in both modes — Auto never silently applies an undisclosed filter.

Lite is built for a fast start: proven, tested defaults, Auto-Timeframe always on, and fewer decisions before your chart is ready. No separate "detector laboratory" to configure — just the module switches, schedules and visual controls you actually adjust day to day. Full keeps that same analytical model but opens the calibration underneath it — manual detector tuning, additional Order Block evidence filters, and per-instrument adjustment — for traders who want to shape the engine to their own workflow rather than rely on the automatic profile.

Automatic Dark/Light theme detection (with explicit manual overrides) keeps the chart legible regardless of your TradingView setup. Each product runs independently — there is no shared data link between SSM IQ ICT and other SSM IQ tools — but the visual language is designed to be consistent across the family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is SSM IQ ICT a trading strategy or signal service?

No. It's an analytical overlay indicator. It doesn't place trades, doesn't generate an automated buy/sell signal, and doesn't currently fire TradingView alerts.

What is the difference between Full and Lite?

Identical analytical engine in both. Full adds manual detector-calibration controls and advanced Order Block filter/validation modes. Lite always runs Auto-Timeframe with those advanced controls fixed to Full's tested defaults.

What is the difference between Auto-Timeframe and Manual Mode?

Auto-Timeframe automatically selects detector calibration matched to the chart's timeframe. Manual Mode (Full only) opens those same detector parameters individually for hands-on, per-instrument tuning.

Does it require TradingView Premium?

Not stated by the product's own materials. Lower-timeframe history availability depends on your TradingView plan's intrabar allowance; confirm current plan requirements directly with TradingView.

Can I use it for scalping or intraday trading?

It includes dedicated calibration for Seconds and Tick charts as well as the full intraday range, plus Asia/London/New York session references commonly used in ICT intraday work. Whether a given configuration fits your specific workflow depends on your own testing and risk management.

What markets can it be used on?

Any instrument TradingView provides standard OHLC candlestick data for. The Market Schedule adapts automatically to crypto, forex/CFD/futures, and stocks/funds/indices, or can be set manually.

Does SMT work with any comparison symbol?

Yes — the SMT reference symbol is a free-text input (default TVC:DXY). It's up to you, not the product, to choose an economically defensible comparator for the instrument you're analyzing.
